Eddies of molten iron turn slow circles in the cauldron
beneath the stars
The fire of ether and of earth eye each other
through the smoke of gathering stories
A Bear appears between them
but is cleaved in-two-wholes
one fire | one sky
Each one sovereign, powerful,
writhing in the ecstasy of the other
they tumble together into the Forest
raise a mirror in the Dark
to tempt that fire-born
spark of delight
in your eye
