The Wise

Oak Tree in East Portal Park Denim.jpg

Data comes at us fast and furious and blows out our taste buds like cool ranch Doritos and cigarettes. Take a moment. Be still. Fall into slowness and listen. Place a flower bud on your tongue.

The trees speak in whispers; exhales so long, we cannot hear all that they say in one lifetime. It would serve us and so many others if we remembered how to listen. What if we told the children and their children what we heard, so they can finish the story and start anew. Instead we hoover ups bits of data, zeros and ones, as fast as we can searching desperately for trust in that which our cells that already know.

Take a moment and another.
Listen.
